Homestead fishing

Post by monaco2 »

Does anyone know where I can take my 6 yr old grandson fishing in the Homestead area with a reasonably good chance that he would catch something?

Hit the bridge over the canal on Moody rd and 107 ave. Just freeline some live shrimp on the east side... let the hook sink under the pipe. You guys will catch many small snappers... beware the temptation of keeping them, FWC constantly patrols the area, teach the little guy to save the babies. :thumleft: :nemo:

The nearest bait shop (and my fave spot) is Bite Me Bait Shack on 112 ave and just north of 248 street. Raul or Ricky will hook you up, let them know that "David" sent ya. They'll take care of you.
