Fishing Bear Cut will brand u a criminal and ull get hauled away, as well as ur cat towed... My best advice is DONT, but if u have a skiff... then it will be about as good fishing as u can find in florida... IF you know where to go and what to do... From land... never happening, last time I went I was saved from being arrested cuz I knew one of the cops, he told em to let us go, that we were just dumb kiddos.

Because only a cat would need to be towed, a dog would go willingly, wagging his tail and panting, Duh....

The only spot that is legal to fish from shore there is inside Virginia Key park, it is only open during the day. Turn at the sign that says "Sewage Treatment Plant" (very scenic, I know) and go into the park. They charge an entrance fee (unless you tell them you are going to Jimbo's) and then keep an eye on the right hand side. There are some areas to pull off and walk to the beach. Don't go to the lifeguarded beach, they won't let you fish, but instead go to the areas closer to the entrance. Better off during the week as it gets crowded on the weekend with people and boaters. Be careful wading, especially with any dead fish as there are strong currents and some very big sharks that hang out close to shore there.

It's true. It's at the NOAA research center, across the street from the UM Marine Science school. They don't release them from shore at Key Biscayne though.

Yep, the cobia farm. They are farm raising them for food there, not releasing them. Cool spot, the owners are really chill too.

lol@ the thought of them being "yea yea..w/e just grab as many as you can because we have a big order needing to be shipped tonight"

let me ask because i have a boat....is it worthwhile to fish there at night?.... ive seen people try for tarpon there while ive headed out but whats the 411 on the catching being made in or around the bridge?
