Patch Reefs - Curry Hammock

I'll be at the park with my yak late this month. Someone suggested to me that I should fish the patch reefs off the park. I've done some Googling, and it looks like they're offshore farther than I would be comfortable paddling. Does anyone here know for sure how far out they are?
