cubera snapper around bridges?

is it possible to catch good sized cuberra snapper around the bridges and if so what bait is best appreciate any info thanks.

Yes it is possible, they are there. I don't really think you could specifically target them, they are usually a bycatch of grouper or mutton fishing. I'd say a fresh dead gog, butterflied grunt or ballyhoo at night, or a big lively threadfin or pinfish pinned to the bottom during the day would be your best shot.

thanks for the info i was thinking bahia honda bridge the ones that were caught do you know how big they were?

I've never caught a big one, maybe 15". But I have seen pictures of big ones (15-20 lbs) come from Channel 2 and Long Key.

I have seen then up to 12 lbs on live pinfish and have personally caught them to 7 lbs on live shrimp snook fishing. Deeper channels around the full moon in summer is the time for them.

When in season use lobsters.......get the barley legal one an hold the f on.big groupers eat them too
