Well, I finally got my chance to vent our frustrations about the 'footdragging' that's been going on with the (NON) rebuilding of the Gulf State Park Pier.

I hear ya!
I'm right there with you. I've been vacationing in Orange beach the past 10 yrs. Last year we stayed near the jetty to get some fishing in. This year I'm trying Okaloosa Island , for the pier alone. Bama better get their poop together, others may be like me and have some luck and be reluctant to come back.

It was EXACTLY folks like you I was refering to HD
We're all in the same boat so to speak (i.e. NO pier)
One close buddy of mine vacationed and later sojorned to Gulf Shores twice a year just to enjoy the spring and fall mackeral fishing from the pier.
They have not been back since 2004
I just do not understand some of the mentalities that make plans in Montgomery
