Blue; Loose the wire and just tie a heavy mono or fluoro leader on line to line no swivel. Any swivels or wire will cause bubles when the fish runs. The rest of the school of macs see the bubbles and think they are bait. Can't tell you how many times I've been cut off at the swivel. FF73 told me that was the reason. I still get cut off, but no where near as much. Kings will do the same thing.

I must have just missed you Scott, I was there this afternoon catching bait, got there around 12:30 loaded up on pilchards and runners for the Keys. Met GetTheNet and DDratler, thanks for the ice Danny. Lots of runners where I was, and saw a few nice snook come up over the rails, I should have brought a heavy setup to drop a runner head down under the pier.

I wish I could of gone today. Seams that today was better on the bait.

What size were the pilchards?

They were mixed, most were 3-4" but there were some big horse pilchards mixed in.

Fished sun up to 12 mucho robalos we got a bunch mostly slot sized fish a couple 15#ers. Keeper yellowtail at the T along with some big ceros. Couple undersized mutts also on the T. A school of bonito came through at first light wasn't bothering with those. Seen a couple bruiser bonefish cruising. Bunch of snook caught ,houndies and cudas everywhere tons of bait from micro pilchards up front to gogs and horse pilchards passed the bar. Was a good day snook couldn't seem to resist the gogs. As far as the gogs go its just a pot luck thing you get them mixed in with the pilchards but they were there in numbers today ohh yea and the hard tails we're in full force as well.(watch for squid chunks on the rail) If macks are your thing sun down at the T should produce rather well for em. Rick(xpierrat) Jim (jimsgonefishin) nice meeting you fellas and Janos good seeing you again. Saul was out there breaking everyone's balls he could someone needs to tell him to tone it down like 50 notches he really is aggravating constantly up in the Til next time

Good to meet you guys too.... wish I could have fished but was committed to taking the wife out in the Yak for some snorkeling.... Bout laughed my A$$ off we hadn't been in the water 5 minutes and a small Nurse swam right under us....kinda cool but she bout freaked LOL....

Oh heed(sp?) this warning there is a mystery backlasher on Dania pier went to use my Calcutta yesterday and it was backlashed like someone used it.Hmmmmmmmmmm

funny you mentioned that, as we were leaving we couldnt find our net, we found it at the next bench over by a different group of guys with the rope all wrapped up like they were about to leave

Some guy was walking by with it, asking a few people if they knew whose net it was, said he was going to keep it if no one spoke up...I guess that was yours.
