First Fishing trip

Gave my grandaughter a Barbie fishing rod for christmas. She loves playing with it . Recently she started asking to go fishing (she's not yet 3).

This is her first trip, across the street to the lake.

We tried the cane pole, but it was too cumbersome.

How come you didn't use the Barbie rod? I too brought one for girl friend's niece and she was kicking ass with it. :D

Crashmister, It's a tossup. :wink: I understand about the anticipation w/ your gs.
There's nothing like it. (brings back all the fond memories of fishing with my kids when they were beginning; even though they are adults,we're still making memories together)
How come you didn't use the Barbie rod?
Bolo, I would have but it's not in good enough shape, anymore. I have a little ultralight, and she handled that like a champ (she can't cast it yet). She has become a terror on Bream and Mayan Cichlids.
