This is a hybrid of a African Pompano and a Horse Eye Jack

Its called AFRIACK , One of the best inshore eating fish, but you want to catch the bigger ones, that one is undersize I hope you released it where you caught it and did not transplant it, also you should not have removed it from the water for the picture they are very delicate and can be injured easily.

They are found up and down the South East Coast, I have done really well for the Bigg'ems at Boynton Seawall

Method of choice ICW deep dropping pieces of shrimp, on an a Electric "Yea I know its cheating to use an electric reel" but hey its faster

Thanks for the report Rob, I wanted to come out today, but have been in bed with a migraine since yesterday. Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

Fished today from +- 18:00 - 20:40 from East of the Hut. Water was very dirty, soft wind from the NE, a fair amount of bait, but nothing else. Fished live bait (small grunts) and shrimp, nada. Packed up to go home, and on the way back, there were a few people catching ladyfish near the shore.
D'd'd'dats all folks.

Fished Sunday 9/13 with my 3 year old son. We started out only catching a small barracuda and a few needlenose (one got gut hooked so I let my son and Rob's little one perform a necropsy). After Rob and the girlz leave we catch a couple of short yellowtails, 5 grovers (3 legal), some blue runners and 5 nice yellow jacks. Then suddenly the rains start. I have rain gear for my son and I but figure wife would not like the little one out in the rain so home we go.

Nice Yellow Jack. They are a lot of fun.
The Judge asked the prostitute, "At what point did you realize you were raped?"
The prostitute replied (wiping away tears), "When the check bounced."
