Got one nice Mutton, Had a bunch of throwbacks that were undersize(yellow tail and mangrove) I saw a few other guys pull up a decent Mutton or two. A few guys near the shore were after tarpon and ended up jumping a big one around 7ish.In the 4 hours i was there I probably lost 20.00 of tackle to the bottom. gotta love it. Water was crystal clear and calm as day. -Tight lines
Thank you for the report

click, click, click, Fish ON - Over, Under, Over, Under Get out of my Way. Sound familiar.
Fished tuesday from 11 pm to 6 am. Things werent that great. Lotsa undersized grunts. Managed to catch a bonefish round 16 inches that put up a decent fight. A few moon fish and a couple of medium sized fish I couldnt identify. There was a huge ray hanging around the pier for a good hour. All in all very slim pickings. Must have been because of the winds, fish would nibble of the bait and youd be left thinking it was the wind. Couple of days earlier a guy caught an octopus!
Welcome to the forum, and thanks for the great first report.,
It is a far better thing to have caught and lost, than to have never caught at all. Courage is not a lack of fear, but the ability to act while facing fear
Fished this morning 6am till 8am.....water going north, not the color I was expecting, but not clear either, ne wind around 15. Caught 4 nice Macks; one at 23inches, and 2 nice Blues....with several cut offs inbetween. Saw 2 schools of mullet, thats where the blues were and a couple big poons ran through them as I was getting ready to leave sending mullett everywhere....it was pretty cool to watch. No pomps while I was thr, my guess is they will show once the current turns South? Will edit pics when I get home.
With the winds so strong what will the fishing be like on the pier for the next few days?

A bonefish? God that kills me, I have tried and failed miserably and catching them on the flats...I would go nuts if I caught one off a pier. Is it worth fishing when the winds are this bad off the pier?
caught it off the right side of the pier before the shack with squid. They fight good, couple of days earlier a bigger one snapped my line just as i was pulling it out of the water, same spot same bait.

fished fri from 8-12 am. was windy but not that bad. saw someone hook up with a nice mac off a greenie but lost it on the way up. I caught a small pomp and a black tip about 10-12 lbs. Was working a gotcha right before i left and a mak crashed it but spit immediately so no luck with them. Bait was there but you had to find it...
I thought it was right too Rob.....after about 45 minutes I decided to get out! 6:30am to 7:45am I had one mackboil on my bucktail....couldn't set the hook because of the gail force wind had pushed a big arch in my line! Just too windy to work the jig, looks like more of the same tomorrow.....
Went out today and roughed the winds from 12-230. Not my favorite time to fish but I was sick of sports center. Anyways, Not much action on the pier at all. I managed one baby grouper(which I tried uploading the pic and it says the file is too big) and a few mangrove snapper. I saw a couple blues here and there and there were some guys at the end of the pier that caught like 4 Bonnet head sharks(which the guy kept calling hammer head) in the 2 hours I was there. Anyways, as expected, wind had the water all stirred up and there wasnt much action. Tight lines- TJ
