Big BASS fishing (Lunker lake)

Post by GET THE NET!!!! »

Did a little fishin out on the golf course today to see if we could find any peacock that survived the cold snap. We were fishing one of the most productive lakes on the golf course that we nick named LUNKER LAKE.:dude: I was throwing fly (stupid mistake), and brendon was using a yo-zuri crank bait. The bite started off slow with a couple of small largemouths. Then Brendon got into a little bit of a rythm cause he caught a few decent fish then landed a slob 5 1/2lb LM. Then it happened, we saw a school of Peacocks :bounce:. Me and Brendon were so happy, even though we didnt hook up we still got to see that at least a few survived. About 20 min later Brendon hooked another slob around 4 1/2lbs. Ihave pics of the fish and even though they look the same there different fish. Then we spotted a security gaurd so we decided to just go home instead of getting in trouble.
(Heres the 2 bass)

Nice bass.

The prostitute replied (wiping away tears), "When the check bounced."

Good Job! Glad to hear some Peacocks survived. Are you in Coral Spring, they took quite a beating there with the cold? Hey that place look familiar, there is some snake in there too!!! Try those on fly, I heard they are a blast on fly if they did survive in that shallow lake too! :dude:

Smiling is so overrated.

8) Tyler, you guys should go fish there at night when it's dark. And wear all black to stay hidden from security guards. Bass will chew hardcore at night too. Use top waters that make a little commotion, like light colored Torpedos and Devils Horses.

I know he always has that same pissed off face in the picture, (even when he catches lunker snook or bass). Brendon is really funny and always happy even though you could'nt tell from his fishing pics. Anyway i went digging around in my computer and found 2 pics were he is acually smilling. One is of his first red, and the other his first poon. Small fish but he was so excited that he caught them, plus he was still a rookie back then. (lol) heres the pics. :uplol:

Nice.

I caught a pea a few days ago, and saw some bruiser peas still patrolling some of my spots.
My buddy hooked up to a NICE one on fly yesterday in a canal but it came loose before he could land it.

Nice to hear about the peas, plenty of bass up here in Delray but no peas for me since the blast of cold.
