Re: Anglins Pier Fishing Reports 2010 "ONLY REPORTS"
Hello James,
Over the past couple of years several people from both Broward and Palm Beach have given me tons of great advice which has helped me and my family LEARN and CATCH all kinds of fish.
I was simply returning the favor. I thought thats what this forum was all about. I am sure we dont have to worry about all of the pompano fisherman in Broward jumping in there cars or trucks and coming up to fish with us in Jupiter.
For me personally fishing has always been about helping others learn our sport and to share helpful information. Im sure it makes you very happy to see the smiles on children or adults as they are reeling in a fish that they have never caught. I know that it makes me very happy :-)
My intention today was not to upset any other fellow fisherman.
Hope to see and fish with you soon.
Good luck to all

Re: Anglins Pier Fishing Reports 2010 "ONLY REPORTS"
walked the pier around sunset
not much action
nor waves or wind
saw one nice size mangrove come over the rail at the north side of the T
Then I left with the visions of the warming trend to come

Re: Anglins Pier Fishing Reports 2010 "ONLY REPORTS"
Lines in the water around 5:30am to around 10-10:30am
Fishing primarily a chicken rig with fleas although I did jig a bit with a Doc's Goofy and later with a Gog Bug. I caught a puffer (on the chicken rig)...that was it for me lol
I saw several sand perch come over the rail early, one BIG sand perch. Some Gog's, 1/2 dozen, maybe 8 & the guy was working them hard too, far and few in between. A few hoos to those fishing for them.
I was right next to the middle hut on the east side of it, pretty much everybody was at the middle hut or west of it.
Nobody at the T at first, a couple guys moved down there around 7:30 or so but it didn't look like they were doing any better.
Solid SE wind, slight current heading north, the water had some color to it...wish I had Thursday or Friday off to have another go at it.

The problem with writing about religion is that you run the risk of offending sincerely religious people, and then they come after you with machetes.

I went today. I caught nothing. I left after I saw there was no let up in the rain. Nothing was caught while I was there.

Re: Anglins Pier Fishing Reports 2010 "ONLY REPORTS"
Went to the pier yesterday afternoon at 1:30pm after calling to see if the se wind had anything biting. I was told "they are getting pompano, bluefish and macs. I got in my van, picked up 3 fishing friends 'who left work early, based on the same report they got when they called". We spent 28 dollars to get on the pier, 6 bucks for a bag of frozen fleas, only to find out the the poms, blues and macs were caught at 7 - 9am in the morning. Whe gave up at 6pm without a bite on fleas, cut bait and artificials. Why is it so hard to give an accurate fishing report to hard-working people. Does the pier need the money that bad that they tell the guys to lie, just to get their new patio built. How about putting in a wheechair accessible bathroom. Do the owners of the pier know they are breaking a FEDERAL LAW?
On a brigter note, as I was leaving, someone ran past us with a drop net, headed towards the T. I went out to see a guy who walked on the pier 15 minutes earlier land a monster Cobia on a ballyhoo plug he put out on the bottom. Congrats to him on a 42-48 inch beauty.

Good job on the Cobia.
The Judge asked the prostitute, "At what point did you realize you were raped?"
The prostitute replied (wiping away tears), "When the check bounced."

I'll tell him bro but my dad said he weighed it. I told him it couldn't be 40. I still say 25-30. I don't care though it taste good regardless.
Thanks for sharpening the pic rob. I have to fix the rest of them later.

Rules are if you start the pier thread that year you have to catch the big boy!
