so yea...made that mistake earlier today...had to jump in and get the net out...no fun at all.. :|

stacked up on sardines from 6-7...then it started to rain and it cut my trip short...till next time i guess.

Depends on what you're looking for. I haven't seen any mullet coming through there yet if that's what you're looking for.

Anything really. Drove to Anglin's a week ago and nothing. Since I will be working this working this weekend, I want to throw my bait around for a bit but don't want to go too far :driving:

Go cruise down the beach and look for snook and tarpon knocking mullet out of the water. That's what I've been doing and it's working out great. Go around sunrise.

Haven't done that in a while. I used too but got confronted by cops a few times and eventually quit on it!

I actually eneded up going on Friday like I originally intended and just as I'm getting to the parking lot, a cop pulls next to me and tells me not to even think about parking there as I run the risk of getting towed. He suggested I park in the resort parking to the West when facing North.....I think it's called "Solo by the Bay". Didn't want to risk it and decided to head North to Anglin's instead.

What do you guys do for parking when going at night?

Parking sucks because there is none from 10pm to 6am. Haven't tried to park at the Solo on the Bay spot. Some people get dropped off. I've thought about parking on 96th and catching a cab... but then wondered if that was even worth it?

Team Googan ventured down to the inlet last night to scope out the pod action. The poon bite was hot and heavy. We went 3 for 6 in no time, all around 20lbs. No snook, and went 1 for 1 on moray eels. Lol I bet a lot of people think they're snagged on a rock but really have an eel on. I did... Saw finger mullet for the first time, all on the beach side of the jetty. Get a dozen and go do work out there.

This morning there were tons of mullet, jacks and googans. There was also a school of 20 short snook cruising the rocks on the beach side of the south jetty. I stopped some retards from throwing their cast net for them. I netted a bunch of mullet and these scavenger googans came scurrying over like a bunch of cockroaches and started grabbing the choice baits. I yelled at them, but I only have a few swear words in my Spanish vocabulary. Worst of all, they had their own cast nets... I'd hate to do it but I'm gonna end up pushing some retard right off the jetty one of these days. Tons of Tarpon rolling outside the inlet, too far out of casting range. When ever they did get close, the other googs would cast crocodile spoons right onto their backs as they were rolling and spook them. I can't even count the number of tiny little 8" jacks that got put into peoples buckets. I think that might be the last time I go there during the day, these people make me sick to my stomach. There was also some good action on the north jetty, jacks and tarpon had a big pod pinned on the rocks for while.

Wait so you threw your cast net and caught some bait, and the googans came and took the bait from your net? Wow if true thats bold. I don't know how you didn't push one into the cut and let that current just take em out to sea.

Believe me, I wanted to. The only reason that I didn't was that I was outnumbered at least 4:1. If you want to measure the odds by skin color it was more like 15:1... I usually don't make the best decisions either, so the fact that I let it slide meant things probably would have ended badly for me if I started something. Next time I'll go put my gear away, start my car and then knock somebody out just in case I need a fast getaway...

Nov,2 the bite was on from around 10-1pm. U know how it is there everyone keeps all their catches without looking at measurements and stuff, i got there and some guy landed 2 reds in a matter of 10 mins on live mojaras, and in a period of 1 hour another guy cought 2. I had a live mojara for around 1 hour but had no hits :S they where all really nice reds some maibe slot but most over slot, i really wanted to land my first red but never happened :(

Fished Nov 5th and 7th from 6-9am. No bait what so ever coming through the inlet during the outgoing tide. Monday there were lots of Tarpon, but they weren't willing to hit the live mullet I kept floating over their heads. There were a lot of slack lines on the jetty lately. I think the mullet decided to migrate South by bus or airplane, cause they don't seem to be coming down the coast in the surf. It seems like they're pretty content with the canals they've been hiding in since Sandy. Maybe I should send them invitation letters, evites, or try them on Facebook... In September everyone was saying that the run wasn't even in full force yet, and thats when the bait stopped coming. Is this typical?

I figured something was off based on what I've read, heard people say and see going on up north of Miami. I just moved here so I don't know exactly what to expect. I guess I'm just afraid to think that the run is over...

Last year i use to see the mullet from my house that i have view to the beach, i use to see them get busted at by fish in the early morning almost every day i woke up for school... Anywhere i went, there was mullet and they where getting destroyed. This year i have seen big pods but only like 1 of the pods was getting hit by fish and that was inside bayside -.- all the canals that hold mullet, have them but nothing is hitting them, but they dont have them like last year that was by millions
