Re: Anglins Pier Fishing Reports 2009 "ONLY REPORTS"
My report got lost in birdgate so I am reposting it.
Fishing Report for Aug. 24th. I went 1 for 3 on Bonitos and I caught a Cuda. Both fish I gave away. Saw one other Bonito caught. Lots of bait, with Pilchards near the T, and Greenies by the hut. Fishnfool: Gogs were around, but they were not thick and those who were trying to bug had no luck.
Oh yeah, Blue Runners were being caught frequently.

Re: Anglins Pier Fishing Reports 2009 "ONLY REPORTS"
Fished today from 17:30 - 19:45. Water was nice color, and very dirty, SE wind +- 7-10 mph. Just got the outgoing tide, and there was PLENTY of bait up by the T. Of course, I didn't see it, as I spent most of my time at the 2nd hut (where there was practically no bait
), but a few guys who were up by the T told me. The only people I heard that caught anything were right at the beginning of the pier at the 1st light pole, caught abour 3 nice size margates. Otherwise, I think the fish were back in school today, because they certainly as hell weren't anywhere near the pier.

It is a far better thing to have caught and lost, than to have never caught at all.

Was at anglins pier from 9pm till around 3am, water was crystal clear, flat, and little current, lots of bait around, my friend got 5 grovers. Plus a few moonies, and a jack crevalle. Eh, Ive seen better, but I've seen worse too! Least we left with something!

Re: Anglins Pier Fishing Reports 2009 "ONLY REPORTS"
Basically explains the day, there were some snook hanging around also. There were some pilchards in the surf in the morning, but due to someone cast netting they scattered. Got rocked by something that ate a runner head under the pier.rob762 wrote:Fished from 11 am to 2:45 with the family. Runners and houndies were the fish of the day. The girls caught enough to keep them entertained.
Water was crystal clear and there was no bait. As we were leaving, 1 small school of greenies came around, but were immediately harassed by cudas and houndies.
East wind 5-7 kts.
Till next time.

Is there any bait? pilchards? Any bait today?
I am planning on fishing tomorrow ( Thursday) night. I will bait at Dania or in the inlet before if the bait is not at Anglins. Any feedback........ Thanks

I hope someone report this Sawfish. I believe they are doing research on them.

Re: Anglins Pier Fishing Reports 2009 "ONLY REPORTS"
WhoDey and I went out this morning. Flat calm with some nice swells. Current was ripping to the north. No gogs. A lot of pilchards in the surf with bunch of Snook behind it. Dork Jacks and small Boo Runners everywhere. We kept hooking to these weird looking fish on our crappie jigs. They were a nuisance. They were just as bad as the Skip Jacks. Anyone can identify them?
