What is better to use cable or wire Leader? and why? I bought 480lb malin cable but after ready in some places that wire is better and in other cable is better I'm just a little confused. :?

I would use a wind on leader as opposed to cable. Cable directly to the hook is not a good idea as the sharks can bite through it. I basically use a 300lb wind on leader to a 4-6ft length of 175lb...

Why is it that the gear bridge on my 9/0 goes bad after every shark i catch on my 9/0? Literelly, i have to itafter each shark. It has become so costly i am do not think i am gonna fix ot again. It...

I noticed some of yall don't use the barrel wraps on your wire. With #19 and up wire, why or why don't you use barrel wraps. I have always done the wraps on all wire sizes.

Sorry let me reword that, I always use the haywire and finish with the barrel wraps on all wire sizes, but I see some who just use the haywire. Ok, on all wire you do the haywire and the barrel...

anyone have an opinion on which one is better? stren braid or power pro braid... i can get both pretty cheap (stren is half off) but i have heard good and bad about both. i am using it as backing with...

i think its gonna be an avet 50wide but it could be a 12/0. its gonna be for off the beach and piers. not much structure to cut it on, just sand. i want like 1300-1500 yds of braid and then about 100...
