9-29-13 NSB south and north pier
Got to the south pier around 6:00 am. Winds 5 to 10 out of the NE. Not a good sign. Got one small skinny flattie. Lost a keeper flattie on the surface. Must have thought he was a Bass. Shook his head and the bait went one way and the jig head the other. The bait was a 3.5" fluke ( clear bait with a lot of silver and a little white flake) The fish must have thought it was some kind of white bait. A lot of hits but not a lot of fish. Jig head 1/4 oz. Y. char. It was good to be out of the house. Been raining 5 out of the last 7 days. Went to the north pier. Nothing only two other people on the pier. Got home around 10:30 am.

Nice that you are catching them on fairly basic baits. Those flounder are notorious for just holding the bait in their mouths and letting go at the last minutes. Have you tried any bull minnows?
