Hello fellow shorebound freands,not long ago i was doing some fishing from a west coast pier and while everyone else was catching pompano and macks,I found myself not having the right color,dispite the usual encouragement from my better half "EVERY ONE ELSE IS CATCHING WHY ARENT YOU"?, I kept on trying and finally got a hookup,it was not what every one else had caught this was big,of course I didnt have my usual 10-20 pound rods,so I only took along a 6 pound combo,well after doing the pier shuffel out to the T ,30 minutes later I had a 30 pound BLACKDRUM on the pier,we were able to shoulder gaff it, so no harm would be done to the fish,dispite several offers to buy the fish from the local pier rats that wanted to hack it up and use it for shark bait,I told them I would be putting it back,the tourist all clapped and took pictures of the fish,(I dont like taking pictures)I was proud of what I had done and promply took it back to show her the fish,her first question was "can you eat it" ? when I told her that it had parasites in the meat and it would be best to release it, I got the "ALL THAT FOR NOTHING LOOK".Cant live with them,cant kill them!!(WIVES)

not necessarily though. some dont have the worms even that big.
