I think these are pretty self explanatory.

First: Bend the hook up.
Second: Open the split shot wide by using a hammer and table knife.
Third: Clamp on the shot.

The bottom pic shows a weed guard. Simply snell on a short length of 50-80# mono and insert it through the hook. Clamp on split shot then cut mono to the length you prefer.[img][img]http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff28 ... tplus2.jpg[/img][/img]
