icw/canal fishing

boatless, will be fishing from on a bridge, under a bridge, or on land.
1. what type of fish can be caught in the icw or in the canals?
2. what would be the best type of lure (krock/johnson spoons/bucktail jigs/or any other recomendation) or dead bait to use or none of the above?

probably between jensen beach and west palm beach areas.

Still a really broad area there, the lures you mentioned will work to catch numerous species. To help you get more quality information answer a couple of questions?

1. What species are you wanting to target?
2. What bridges or parts of the icw are you wanting to go to?
3. Tell us a little bit about your past experience in the salt, and what gear you will be toting with you.

I have seen many people Fish by the tamiami Trail Canals And catch big largemouth bass. If that's what you want to fish for..

Or you could try fishing in one of the piers that are along the coast at broward my Favorite is Anglin's Pier for the many diferent species that you could catch...so good luck!
