Reason #69- Permit eats braid for snacks.

Is braid the new top bait for Permit down there? A ball of braid on a fishing hook.... did a googan found that one out? :-p

So braid instead of crabs now for permit Rare? No wonder I'm not catching. OK I'm going again next week. What pound test? And do they like any color more than another?

no need for mono or floro leader just braid to a hook

Where can you get that?

Braid eating monsters, must be rich in minerals and vitamins, otherwise they wouldn't eat it. I have to give it a shot tonight for dinner.

You have to make them yourself!

Find a male and a female blue crab and tie them together and leave them in bucket of saltwater for 7 days and 7 nights. The two crabs will mate and produce lots of scent in the water. The braid will soak it up and you'll have scent braid fishing line bait! The best for permit!

The yellow colored braid seems to fair better but it really depends on the day. Some day they like white, other greens or blue... even red from time to time.
I heard red works best at night and yellow during the day time. Give it a try and you won't regret!

Thanks Tears....gonna name my next kid after you. I'm on it. Two questions........(1) how do I know male from female crabs and (2) if I use 2 males and 2 females will the jizz be twice as strong or am I just wasting crabs? And why didn't you guys talk about this trick months ago?

1)The male crab have blue craws and a bottom that comes to a point like a pencil. A female crab have orange craws and a bottom that almost cover the whole bottom.

2) No, it has to be exactly one male and one female. If it's 2 males and 2 females, they'll give out a different smell and the permit do not like it. A beginner thought just like you and fished next to me and never caught anything. I keep on pulling fish left and right in front of them.

Got to get my share of fish before everyone know it. Remember to act like a googan when you're out there as well. So people would think you are just lucky.

How about just one bi-sexual crab? Will that work?

Gotta toss the bi-sexual ones in a blender. That makes them straight.

you can also just milk the male crab in the bucket. careful not to touch your junk when your done you dont want crabs of your own....
