Floodgate mosquito ravaging... 5/17/07

Post by swordfish »

Called up Linesider and we headed down to Jacks for some shrimp, seeing as snook season is over soon want to try a couple more times. Shrimp were TINY! Got to the spot, forgot bug spray... They were sooo thick that if u swung ur arms about you would hit them.

About 20 or so minutes after getting beat up I hear marcus yell "Im on!" I run over to him and he had nailed a nice lil 24 inch common, I got all fired up and ignored the swamp angels for a bit, but then it got nasty. Oh and the snook wouldnt let go of Linesiders thumb... LOL it was a landlubbin fish!

Kept on tryin I got nailed a couple times... but since Ive been out of the game for a while forgot about circles and took it out of the fishes mouth. Switched over to a soft plastic that caught me a lil snook at night before in ghost white and got hammered one time then again and again, but I think it was ladyfish since no hookups. So heres the pic, we might be heading out saturday night again!

You guys don't call nobody! I was down there saturday like at 12:00. I was fishing a 13" mullet that got nailed. The fish took off but I no hook up. Fished a second mullet I had with no results. I can attest to the flock of swap angles that were there. They were biting even in the rain.
