I'm planning to visit my uncole this weekend and we go out fishing on a channel between cayo costa and captiva. All I know, is that if you keep going out on it it will take you to open waters into the gulf. question #1 what is the name of that channel. Also we anchor between the 2 island and sometimes we catch afew nice mangrove and some short groupers and lots of catfish.. Question number 2, is there a better place than that near by there just in case the bite is not good. Also before reaching this spot he sometimestakes us by a seawall near there facing Captiva where sometimes during the winter he fishes there for sheephead, does anyone know the name of this place also? Thanks for whatever info you can supply to me.
