Flamingo Report 7/15

Another day in Flamingo has come and gone. The ramp is still closed to bay access. The yakfleet was launched from the campground.

Once again it was confirmed, snook hate me. I can never catch one during the season.



It was a little windy, plenty of baitfish, just not to many fish interested in artificials. Lots of little jacks.



One in the group caught an overslot trout, hope he posts a pic!
Beers, cigars, off-color jokes and general harrassment of the local fish was injoyed by all.

I really am glad to see your part of the forum and I really do look forward to more post and thanks for useing this area, I am so interested in Yak fishing.

No problem, BF. A year ago I would have never guessed I'd be fishing from a kayak. It surely opens up the opportunities and excitement

Sometimes, I throw the yak on the top of the Jeep and just cruise around looking for "fishy" places. Parked in wharehouses to fish little canals in the Springs. You can get to places in these dinky little canals that aren't fished much.

Been scared witless fishing and catching fish offshore. Flats fishing, both wading and from the yak is a blast. Now, I want to catch a big poon!
