I then went back to paddling, looking at all the nice houses and noticed a little grass flat by a seawall. This looked fishy, so out went my topwater again. A minute later, there's a nice tug on the rod and instead of another little cuda, I got a nice fat 19 1/2 inch trout. They normally don't bite much in the summer, so getting one at high noon after a full moon was a nice surprise.

One of the other nice features or urban kayaking down here- if you get hungry or thirsty, there's an ice cream boat!
