bait was getting chased by something but couldn't see what it was though.
anyway, i finally get to this object floating in the water over half a mile out. it wasn't a buoy after all.
it was a huge live well(at least thats what it looked like to me.... the kind of well that headboats use). dont know why its just floating there.
btw.... there was lots of bait under it but no trips, kings, nor bonnies.
so i started to make drifts near it and away from it. all i got was a few
foot long sharks.
i did catch a croaker on the bottom and that was it.probably could of done better if i were trolling instead.
lost a few fish but i believe they were sharks and one could of been a bonnie.
the bait of choice was threadfins i caught yesterday.
even chunked them to attract fish but no. it was still slow.
after 4 hours of drfiting in different spots i made the long paddle back to shore. whuuuu was i far out.
i brought someone with me who stayed on the beach and he said he caught some blues, catfish, whiting and thats it. there were tarpon blasting on bait he said too.
