Nine Mile Pond in ENP

Post by firebeforice »

Took my canoe out today with my friend bobby for a quick day trip. im not a freshwater fisherman, but it seemed like a good option on a day with 15 mph winds! We put in around 2:00 pm and fished the edges of the pond without any luck. They was quite a bit of tourists there for a thursday afternoon and they were kinda of annoying(making noise while paddling). Anyways, we went off the trail near markers 4-12 and fished the small clear ponds. Seems like most of the bass moved from the main rockpit pond to backcountry. We caught a few of half pounders, but no lunkers. We used a Gambler flapping shad and culprit worms. Anyways, we completed the half of the loop and puffed one out there in the open expanse of the glades. Then the prairie melted into the sky lol :biglaugh: Crap day fishing but very cool nonetheless.

has anyone heard about craigsheads pond trail that runs further east off the trail? Supposed to east of nine mile and north of Seven Palm lake
