Blackpoint 4/26/12

So- I am at the shop Thursday and its dead.. I was joking around with the foreman and said "I'm going fishing." He responded with "Go ahead." .. without hesitation I locked my box and hopped in the Jeep. `It's been a while since I have been out - called the wife and told her I was headed out for a bit - and she approved. I grabbed 2 dozen live shrimp, launched the OK out of Blackpoint, and anchored here at about 1p.m.:



10lb test, no leader, 1/0 hook.

Threw the first live shrimp in, about 30 seconds later it was flying up out of the water for dear life, and boom.. legal size trout. Threw in the next, good sized mangrove, then trout, mangrove, trout.. etc.,. If the bait stayed in the water for 30 seconds it was taken, and this only happened twice. Everything else was landed, all good sizes, all released. It was literally like shooting fish in a barrel. The day started out of no where and ended awesomely. Motivated to get back out there asap.
