i found this forum for bowfin (mudfish) alglers. all they do is go out and fish for mudfish. some of them even eat them

dumbest thing i have ever seen.
In the website they sid they have another sight called the gar anglers sportfishing society (GASS)

I wouldn't say that. Bowfin fight much harder than largemouth. Gar fight harder than largemouth as well, and get bigger. In fact, largemouth don't really fight well at all. Yet nobody says anything about the millions of bass clubs/societies/etc.

I would join the bowfin club...

Or you could just peacock fish, or saltwater fish.

Except that most of the people in these clubs are from the midwest, where there aren't any peacocks and certainly aren't any saltwater gamefish.
