there were huge threadfins around like 10 - 14 inches. freelined and fished on bottom they produced nothing
then headed to long key. my dads first cast with live shrimp and he caught this 15 1/2 inch mutton (there always 1/2 inch short
)
long key was a mess for me. wasted like 30 minuetes trying to re rig my rod and was having mayjor problems with drag and such and if that wasnt enough, i caught a small grunt and while taking him off of the hook i knocked my soda into the water.
both bridges seemed empty.
