Curse of the nurse?

Post by kyfisherman »

Ok, i have seen surfrat's pics on the beach with big nurse sharks. I am wanting to know what "the curse of the nurse" actually is??? Not being from Florida I have always heard this on the forum and while there people would say that. Just looking for some info! Thanks in advance

nurse sharks dont fight they are just dead weight that is why most sharkers try to stay away. if you hook into a nurse its like pulling up a huge rock. this is why they call it the curse of the nurse, they are good eating though IMHO

Well I think the answers given pretty much cover it.

The Nurse will always be on the end of your line when you least what that and yes they can be dead weight, But Surf Rat is right I too, have fought a few that i thought were a different species, fought them in to be disappointed.
