OK, found Trolley Rigs, etc, but I am looking for a decent "clip down" rig"!
Did a search and I am at a loss! I plan on caSTING A 6/0 as well as a 555 Penn with 30 lb mono and also a Torque 100 with 50 lb PP. I am looking for a good example of a "clip down" rig that I can understand and figure out so that I can toss out for sharks from the beach! For my purposes, a trolley rig will not work. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am a "touchy feely" kinda guy, so if you have any pics, that would a great help. Will be tossing oot at least 50 lb PP plus whatever wire leader is necessary and I am open to suggestions. Suffice it to say that I am looking for the appropriate shark rod of at least 9' plus, so I can "heave" it out there! Any help would be appreciated!

I used 240 malins...but brands not such a big deal.

that's not the multi strand wire though right? and is 240LB or the number wire like number 7 is about 80 something pounds?

Actually, I thought I would mix it up a bit and use single strand with haywires, multi-strand with crimps, and even some weedeater line rigs with a steel bite-leader, and see which one works best for me. The reason I was looking for a pic or a diagram for a clip-down rig was to prevent helicoptering, so I can get the bait and the weight at a bout the same plane on the rig when I toss it.

Cable is WAY TO MUCH!!!.This is not the movie jaws and you are not fighting a 5000lb great white.K.I.S.S...I am sure we all know whaqt that means.#19 is more than enough.Thats 400 pound hard wire,do a haywire twist on that and you are good to go.A friend of mine who is vet of the sharking world once told me less breaks in the chain.More crap to the rig more places it can break.You arent going to get much from casting from the beach,just get a kayak.
