Whats the largest Shark ever caught from land?? I don't know

biggest one i know of in the states was that tiger off cherry grove pier in south carolina going about 1200lbs

That distinction goes to one Walter Maxwell fishing Cherry Grove pier 1964 South Carolina and it was a tiger of 1780 pounds that stood as the world record until recently although in Durbin south Africa there was a whaling station with a jetty next to it where the locals had a shark club in the 50's and 60's many large zambesi (bull sharks) large tigers and great
whites in excess of 1500 pounds were caught there;also Australia has a large population of shorebound sharkers but i don't have specific info on
the largest caught from their shores.

Yeah I have seen the pictures of the Aussies and their land gear, its insane really. Lots of them create the monstrous sleds so that they can use their 130 reels to full potential in a chair setup. Others have crafted fighting chairs from the beds of their trucks.

The Cherry Grove shark, Walter Maxwell's, was around 1780. They said it was 2000 when they caught it.

Ya, I guess that in SoFL, you are right on. BUT in areas like Daytona and others in N FL that you can drive to your spot -
It makes alot of sense I would imagine.
