4/0 senator

i have a question can u do much shark fishing with a senator 4/0 and if so should i spool it with braided line to get more yards on it

A 4/0 from land even with braid will be taxed by mid to large sharks. Maybe for the smaller to mid size fish. Fish over 200 lbs or so may be a problem esp off of the beach where you are 100 yards off of the beach when it hits. I would upgrade but that is just me. I am sure it can and has been done but I would guess that is the exception and not the rule.

if your going to be casting that reel you would need some thing soft on top
like stren super braid thats what i did to my 3/0 i put 500 yards of 40 pound power pro and about 225 of 50 stren

a 4/0 with braid should be good u can get a lot more line with braid and its stronger but 50 lb 60 lb i dunno we just spooled a 6/0 with 200 lb braid i guess it all depends on wut size the shark is
