My bro and I took a trip accross the state to your area, and have a fer Q's:
1. The waves were incredible, is that normal?
2. If that's normal, how the heck do you get out?
3. We had a hard time catching anything for bait. Locals said it's because the surf was up. True?
4. When we did finally get bait, I yacked the rigged bait out(getting dumped 3 times) beyond the breakers. Not 30 min later the drad starts screaming. I pick up the rod apply a little bit of pressure(circle hook), and he spits the bait. I set it back in the spike, 45 sec more and she's on again. I applied pressure for about a min, and I'm broken off on the reef.
The question: How do you keep from breaking off on the coral/rocks if you drop on the other side of reef?
Thanks for the help,
--Rick
