it seems like people have been taking pictures of other people sharks and claiming them for thier own....and it seems to be happening more frequently since advertising for the sbfg shark tourrney started.... here is a movie that team gloustermen created

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAiaBhBtrkE
check out the pictures at the times 1:29 & 3:25

i thought that shark looked familiar so i did some research and found it to be one of team oldskool's from the 2nd tourney

here is the link to old skool's post..... scroll 3/4 of the way down

http://boatlessfishing.com/forum/viewto ... &start=140

the only reason i am posting this is because i think that this is one of the lowest things a sharker can do!!!!!

Hey guys,
That definitely looks like old skool's bull to me. My teammate Pat put together that video a year ago, but I don't know why he included those pics. I'll ask him about it. We honestly do not mean to take someones shark or picture. We know how much work/effort it takes to shorebound shark fish so it would just feel plain wrong to be claiming a fish as ours when it is not. And some of the sharks/pics are of cubs83 (Shane)..we fish with him from time to time.

Lets give these guys a chance to defend their actions before we start the lynch mob.....I'll start tying the rope.

Yes it is low to do that, but think about it, you just cannot blame a whole team for one team mate's doing. They do have pics with them and their own sharks, I give them props for that. Just need to specify in their youtube thread that not all sharks may have been caught by them and give credit to whom the credit is due... and also make sure that if you do release those shark on your pics please mention it....and if you did keep your allowed shark to eat it, and not killed it just for its jaws, do not put it on the film! And for crying at loud get together with a tagging program ask around and see if their purpose fits yours and the sharks...Film it please and show that shorebound fishermen and women are here to help....Help keep them going alive and help them keep the balance in our seas.....ONLY TAKE WHAT YOU WILL EAT!... I my self, today and going forward, promise to only take what I my self and my own immediate family will eat......If you want to eat a shark you will have to catch it your self...Please you do the same or do better!
CATCH AND RELEASE ALL THE SHARKS[/b]

Not the response I hoped for but evidently it was not a mistake. Pat said he added team Old Skool's bull shark pics to the video because he thought they were cool looking. I told him he should've at least asked Old Skool before using their pics but he didn't think it was that big of a deal. Kind of throwing my teammate under the bus, but let the lynching begin :?

We are not shark killers by the way. If you look at the comments on youtube we try to explain to them that no sharks were killed but some people are just too ignorant to read. We practice catch, photo, release to the fullest extent and hope never to have to keep a shark because it died during the fight. They are magnificent creatures whom we respect and will continue to do so until the last shark we catch and release. We have started tagging sharks through the Apex Predators Program back in June..it is very neat to see where/when the sharks we're catching end up.

Well thanks for your honesty in the matter. I for one will wait to see OLD SKOOL's reaction. Just a hint I would try and reach out to them and explain it before this turns into something really ugly.
