Hello,I am a newboot to the board but have been sharkfishing for over 30 years.I will be in the PCB beach area on June 21st and was wondering if any of the area piers allow sharkfishing.I have a 14,12, 10 and 2 9/0s and a kayak so if I have to I will fish from the surf.Is St Andrews St Park worth a shot ?I appreciate any info. Thanks

There are a lot of bulls off the beaches of Panama City. The park is real close to an inlet so you can get cut off easy, especially since boats cruise the beach looking for Cobia all the time. But you might be ok at night, and the sharks are definitly there off those beaches. The Panama city pier (Dan Russell) isnt open because of past hurricane damage and they are in the process of rebuilding it. A few years ago there was a 850 pd Mako taken off the end of the pier at night during the spring but that was before the hurricane damage. My friend had a Mako take a pass at his Cobia he had hooked up this year on Pensacola pier so they are around. Those beaches in Panama city have a really nice dip between the 1st and 2nd bar and thats were the Bulls cruise, the Makos are usually just past the 2nd bar if they are still around. Good Luck.
