Need info on getting a few custom rods made

I been looking and thought about having a few custom rods made. I will need a rod for a penn 309 vintage reel. I'm going to go with at least 1 penn 209 and I'll need a couple 10' plus spinning rods for surf fishing. I was looking at blanks and have no clue what to go with. I want something fast and durable. I seen gator blanks but have no clue if they are good. I don't want to have to rib a banl to get custom rods lol. Any info will help and if anyone makes rods if you can give me an idea of prices would be very helpful.

Gators are good ,also chaos,etc it all depends how much you want to spend on materials ,you want single piece 10 footers? there is a dude call Marcos aka LINESIDER he does this for a living ,I build rods as a hobby for me, or friends .....I ll tell Marcus to check with you

thanks Raul.. gator glass blanks are great and super tuff.. there are glass blanks, not the lightest so if you will be casting and holding all day might want something else .. there is tons of new blank companies out there that produce strong light rods.. dont know what the budget is.. if u contact me ill give u bunch ideas u could toss around till u see what u like.. send me PM

Marcus, I didn't know you did this for a living. Here's my question ......I'll never know what you know regarding blanks, guides, threads. ......so why should I be making decisions on the materials? If I'm looking for a 10' surf rod shouldn't we just meet so you can figure my size, have a conversation, and then you just build the rod I am thinking of? One that fits me specifically? I was going to ask Ronnie to build me this rod and then he told me he was leaving. I would have had Ronnie do whatever he wanted including colors. I can't see why it couldn't work the same way with you right?

yep. size and length of grips, style butt cap/gimble,colors,guides, i could make to function best with a certain reel etc...
