Rijkaard wrote:What ya think guys about meeting up Sunday morning at John U Lloyd at opening (think it's 8 am) and scouting the area? Whiskey Creek has usually nice fishes (snappers, sheepheads and others), FPL channel is a show by itself, crystal and warm water with lots of fishes inside, if it's not rough we could even go into the ocean for some trolling (Dania pier is just some paddling ahead and it takes nice fishes overthere), moreover at john U Lloyd we could launch even directly from the beach, so decision can also be taken directly there

MAN, This is exactly the trip I have been planning to do, but I cannot go this weekend. I have the BaBY ( tHE WIFE AND i ALTERNATE A FREE DAY EVERY OTHER WEEKEND).

I am quite bummed, but know you guys will do well.

SATURDAY
SOUTHEAST WINDS 5 TO 10 KNOTS. SEAS 2 FEET OR LESS.
INTRACOASTAL WATERS A LIGHT CHOP. SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS IN
THE AFTERNOON.

This would be a great time to launch Early AM - Troll and fish the pier end and first reef till 9 when the lifegaurds take the stands. Then go hit the creeks an FPL.

Tight Lines!

Yup's I'm IN.
John U Lloyd is a great spot, like Rijkaard said this place is loaded with fish.
Got rid of my extra Yak & now my friend is eager to get out & start fishing it.

Where do u plan on meeting, I drive a Grey Jeep Wrangler & have a tan Tarpon 140.

My mom's birthday is on Sunday. if I miss that, I would be up S*$t's creek!

Post a report when you get back. I have read it is an easy launch, with light boat traffic.

Sorry boys, I'd jump on the op. but I'm in whorelando for the weekend.

From whiskey creek, just before the marina on the south end, its an easy portage of less than 100 yards directly to the pier. I've seen many boats and several yaks fishing in and around the pier the last several weeks. Not much more time to fish it from the yak.. after it opens you won't be allowed near it.

Don't Ask.
Went off shore on a good Friend's 58 sport Fisher, we departed at sun up & cam back at sun down, only to reel in a Spanish Mak up to the boat & that was all but a glimpse of a Mak!!! :(

Nothing! all the elements where in place, but nothing. Atleast we had great company & had pleanty of booze to numb the heart break!

Better catch's off my Yak!!!
