All,

DOes anyone know if that "lake" that run parallel to Mainsail Dr is private or public.
Ive seen 10-12ft motorized boats tied up all along the mangroves and small docks. Wondering if i can ramp a small boat as well.

Also, would it be worth fishing that stretch of water since only water flow in is thru mangroves?

Any help would be appreciated

Good question. From the looks of it it could be either. Only way to know for certain is to check at the clerks office.
I used to paddle up that creek under 951 but remember that I couldn't paddle all the way to the lakes.
As far as fishing them, hard to say. Drive up and sit a spell, see what you can see. I have caught many a snook from ponds that have a dam control device, I would bet that fish can swim to and from those ponds.
I vacation just up the road from that area, it could be worth checking out from shore even. Throw a Spook, Skitterpop or spinnerbait around for a while and see what happens. Huck a big ole live shrimp out there as far as you can on a popping cork and see what happens.

My parents have a condo at Tropic Schooner and ive been wanting to hit that area, unfortunately I havent had a chance yet because I had my small children with me and thats a hassle for fishing.

From what I can see from the Collier County property map site it is private along Mainsail Drive. The good news is that there appears to be a couple of "Community open spaces" that you should be able to access because you are guests of your parents at their condo.
There is one with what looks like a small concrete hand launch. I would try from there first.
