Need old rod repair advice

I am looking for repair advice for an old rod that my father left to me before he passed away 8 years ago. The rod has sat in my closet since then, and I am just now deciding to repair and fish with it. Based on the conversations that I had with my father, I am guessing that the rod is from the late 50s to early 60s. It was manufactured by a German company called DAM. Has anyone heard of it? The poll is a 3 piece, has 7 guides (some of which are broken), and is 10 feet nine inches long. I would love to restore it to working condition in original form if possible. This is the rod my father grew up with. He caught many fish with it and I would love to continue that myself. I did some initial research and noticed that DAM is still around selling tackle. I would love to have this repaired locally by reputable person rather than sending it off some where. I live in Broward county and and plan on surf fishing with on weekends on our east coat beaches. Any comments on the rod and advice as to how to get it repaired would be greatly appreciated.

repairing a rod is the last alternative that i would suggest and only to rods with sentimental value because of the price that is charge in restoring it.

do you have a pic of the rod on its prime?
do you want the threads to be "exactly" the same- this might be hard as some companies from 30 years ago are no longer around making threads.
the rod cna be restored no problem, but the components wont be original or from the same era as the rod.

I understand if the pole cannot be restored to it's original form. I don't care about financial, only sentimental value is important to me. I would be happy having it restored with modern high quality components.

ok here are some pics of the rod. I will take some more that show more detail as soon as I have a chance. Sorry it took me a couple of days to respond as my job keeps me busy.
