Naples Pier 04/8 - 04/11

Post by rhorm »

My first week out fishing. Been going after work 6-8 P.M. everyday. Learning quick to go outthere after the sunset viewers. First day I made the mistake of using dead shrimp. Not a good idea unless u like catching catfish and baby sharks. Started using D.O.A. Rootbeer and hooked up with a snook that broke me off on the pilings. For the most part the snook are sitting under the pier and being really lazy. Saw a few pomps caught on small pink and yellow lures. I'm sure i'll learn the tricks sooner or later but, the wind has been really bad and the seaweed aweful. Hopefully better news to come as it should warm up alot really soon.
