Spinning Reel Question

We have a good many rod builders here and also those with much to offer about reels, so if you need help with Rods-Reels- or Wrapping do it here

What/which salt water spinning reels have the least amount of internal parts?

I would say the Daiwa BG series would be on the list
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

Penn Z series. The old reels were tanks, metal body and easy access to internals. The new spinfishers that are supposedly waterproof aren't, they're just junk.

Not sure about numbers but Quantum Cabo series is pretty simple. What kind of money you looking to spend?

"The Z Series reels are back. Simplicity...that's how it was designed 50 years ago and that's how it's proudly made today in our Philadelphia manufacturing center." (from Penn's website)

You can also still buy all the old originals too, used but still going strong, and in more sizes.
They're a little too old school for me though.

Gotta agree with Wolf, Z series are stupid simple and almost boringly reliable. With CF drag washers no less.

One of my close buddys is still using about 6 704's, half of them are now bailess, he won't give them up.
