All you need is a .45 case, 3/8" reinforced vinyl tubing, 4/0 jig hook and a 3/16" drill bit. One buckshot pellet or large split shot. The shot rattles and makes this a noisy lure.

Ths buckshot goes inside the case first. The lure looks and works better with Nickle plated cases.

.357 and .44 Mag and .45 Colt Long make nice lures too.

Take a case or two along with you to the hardware store when looking for tubing. You can also use ski rope.

You need to add a split ring or large snap to the hook eye to keep the lure together. Ths buckshot will fall out if you don't and the edge of the drilled hole could fray your line.

I found photo posting instructions in the stickey posts above. Sorry I had to ask for help when I should have found it myself. Different sites have different ways of posting photos. I am not too computer literate so it always takes me a while on a different site.

I added the photos to my original post rather than inserting them further down the thread.

Just found out my neighbor is a gun nut....( all legal and locked up pretty well with TL's and a locked safe) ...BUT there will be a surplus of .223 shells should I need a few

for us non LE types, that is a rare find.
