I was there as well and remember those kids. One of them told me he was going to snag a ray and let it spool all the line off his reel (300-500 yards) and then pop it at the knot. That is one of the most ridiculous things I ever heard. Leave a ray trailing that much line is gonna cause a LOT of damage. All because they were too lazy to take the line off themselves. If they did it, they should be banned.
Fishing was a little slow for me (only fished 1.5 hours). I had a nice runoff but some guy decided to pick up my rod and pulled the bait out of the fish's mouth
. I found that really disrespectful. Unless it is going in the water, DON'T TOUCH ANYONE ELSES STUFF.

I think I saw you. Were you the guy with the dark t-shirt sabiking bait for a while? I think the reel that went off was a TLD near the hut and that scrawny smelly dude picked it up? Sounded like a nice mutton to me. Not a reason but that guy really just didnt want you to miss the fish because it ran for a while before you got back. Still, youre right, he shouldnt touch it.
Introduce yourself next time youre out. I was in the light blue long sleeve shirt right next to those kids.

Quit crappin on the thread. At least mine was in a report type format. JK
Noah... youre right. Fat Mike and his long haired look alike are not bad. Zach... Blonde Mike or MJ does think he knows it all. Claims he can cast Fat Mikes gear farther than his own. I said quit spending sooooo much time with his and get your own working
Anyhow...fishing was slow so its good to meet some more people. MJ, if youre reading this, youre still ok in my book, just tone it down a bit.

I decided to hit the inlet today as there was an outgoing tide at lunchtime.
Paid off. As soon as I got there, I noticed 'dines and Pilchards HUGGIN the SW Wall...something had em pinned. Second cast with a Ghost rap landed a nice mac...22 or so. Kept up like that for a while...lost count of the macs...went for the light rod and it stayed constant still...Put 3 in the cooler for dinner, them went back to casting.
Last mac of the day, something really large grabbed him and did not even slow up enough to say hello...lol Prolly a nice cuda, I think. All I landed was a mac head.......all in all a nice lunchtime....

pauls a good guy but dont listen to him. you will learn in time about how its done man...just gotta grow a big set of balls and put baits you think may be to big out..trial and error..keep doin what your doing viktor cause nobody else does it there anymore. its an untapped fishery there for a few years there and they are still there.

went yesterday, it was slow most of the day. water was way too clear for macks, and the bait was nil. one thing bad did happen though, fishing divers were spearing undersized snook and snapper right at sundown, then they ran/swam away... right into my 3 heavy 80lb test lines..... theres a diver out there with 3/0 long shank mustad hooks in him.... dont be dumb guys, dont dive for illegal things out of season, and dont do it near me or my lines. anyways he ended up cutting my lines and i lost all my rigging because i assume he didnt wanna try and pull the hook out. that will be my last trip to deerfield, ill stick with my dania. thanks guys for the fun, and good luck! there were actually a few blues caught on the t last night actually thinking about it, right around 8
