7 Mile Bridge - :-(

Post by Meskk »

Headed out to the old seven for the weekend. I was most of the time but my friend on here fished Sat. from 1400 hrs to Sun 0800 and all he caught was a flippin' hardhead catfish  However, the prior weekend we caught 13 legal fish over the span of the same time.

How and where exactly were you fishing?

- Contraint to the lower banks, had too much gear to move around.

- Bait (dead) Mullet and Squid

- Ran out of smaller weights and limited to heaview weights.

- Bait fish weren't even biting.

- All this identical to the weekend prior.

Fishing 7 mile

Post by FriskyMullet »

We don't fish the seven mile often but I have found that we do best fishing in the channels on the 7 mile (you have to look for them during the day or at night with a spotlight) at night with live pins or shrimp. Dead bait on any of the bridges is pretty hit or miss. Hope this helps.
